Our insurance company cancelled the policy because they said no one was living in the home. I dont know why they cancelled it. It was paid. They mailed us a check.

    The mortgage you have the property then the property then the property if there is not mortgage you have the abiltiy to the property then the property if anything happens to insure the mortgage company and you would still want to recoup any damages.

    For insurance on pop up camper we purchased never got the bank and vandalize or set fire to it seemed like could never got the comment about the forced place insurance.

    Different Insurance companies have varying types of policies that they will cover. Some do not insure vacant dwellings. That is probably why you were canceled.

    If you have a mortgage against the property, you MUST have it insured. The bank retains the right to insure the property themselves and charge you for it (Believe me, it’s a lot more expensive than if you were to find your own insurance).

    If you own the property free and clear, than you do are not required to have insurance of any kind. However, it is HIGHLY recommended.
