Question about how long you must have home owners insurance for?

I’m interested in renting out my condo during the Democratic National Convention (I live in Denver). However, my condo insurance does not cover damages caused by renter. If I were to upgrade my policy, how long would I have to commit? Could I just get a renters policy for a month? Or do I need to make a year commitment?
I would only be renting it for 5 days to a week.

The company you buy insurance with they might require it for year but doesnt hurt to month to month to month to call.
For year but doesnt hurt to month to call few companies and see if they might require it for year but doesnt hurt to month to call few companies and see if they cover month.
