On a more serious note, check with your insurance company they know what areas are covered by your participation.
You’re kidding, right? The answer is no and to save you the trouble of asking more foolish questions homeowners insurance also doesn’t cover dropped broken dishes or clothes damaged in the washer from too much bleach.
“Ooops I spilled water on my laptop” is NOT a covered peril under the STANDARD homeowners. It IS a covered peril under an HO7 style form, OR, if you’ve seperately insured your laptop on an EDP style endorsement.
So, it depends entirely on your homeowners policy. If you paid extra for either the HO7 or the scheduled property, yes. If you didn’t pay extra, likely no.
YOUR AGENT should be able to answer this for sure.
Since no one here has a copy of your policy no one (I mean NO ONE) here can give you a definite yes or no. I sell Homeowner’s policies where that would be covered, and I sell policies where it wouldn’t (they cost less and some people want to pay as little as possible). Call your broker/agent and ask them
