Home insurance – does it protect you if you get sued by killing someone in your car?

home insurance
Judy asked:

Lets say you kill the neighbors kid by running him over.
The family decides to sue you for 3 million.
Your car only carries 100,000 in liability.

The family decides to sue you and try to get your house.
Home insurance is just 100K if someone gets hurt in your property.
Not sure if that would even apply.
Can they take your house?
Pretend its a million dollar house and its paid off.
My goodness – thank you!!!!!!!

Steellady asked:

One of my friends thinks that I shouldn’t go thru the home insurance as that will affect my history/credit, unless it is more than $10,000. Any advise?

What do you know about home insurance involving a fire?

home insurance
judi asked:

My friend had a fire in her home, during the final days of the sale. The insurance company is trying to prove fraud on her part, which there is none, and she has not paid out since Sept. 28, 2008. She is going for a polygraph test later next month, in the mean time she has no where to live, they have given her $2500 living allowance and refuse to give her more at this time. Any suggestions on what she can or should do?
