Will homeowners insurance cover taking down trees damaging the foundation of my house?
MLE asked:
There are two large maple trees in my backyard. They were planted when the house was built in 1955. Recently we had some plumbing work done on our house in the basement crawlspace and the plumber told us that the roots of the trees are starting to come into the basement. If they continue they will damage the foundation of the house. Is removing the trees something that my homeowners insurance will cover because they are damaging the house? If so what do I need to do to get them to cover it?

Should I file a home insurance claim again?
Carl G asked:
SO I filed a claim 3 or so months ago for my roof. The insurance paid 6K for the roof claim. Well, today I found my dishwasher has been leaking and now I have some subfloor/flooring damage – will it be a bad idea to file a claim for this? Could they drop me? I have Farmer’s insurance.

does home owners insurance cover water damage?
djfinger2002 asked:
My toilet water valve broke and leaked throughout the floor.
I had a friend come over and check out the damage and he said that the floor needs to be replaced becuase it is about to fall through. The water soaked through the floor and damaged the downstairs apartments ceilings. Their ceiling is now falling down and needs to be replaced as well. Will home owners insurance cover this?
The friend never made a repair he just said that the floor needs to be replaced.
Also, its not an apartment i live in a duplex shared with my aunt. It is her toliet that ruined my ceiling in the bathroom.
