Husband & I want to have a baby- can I afford to stay home and will insurance cover me?
My husband and I would like to start a family but I have a few questions and concerns that maybe some of you can help me with:
I carry our insurance through my work, if I want to take a little bit of time off of work after having the baby do I lose my insurance until I come back to work? Does anyone know if they usually only cover your during your maternity leave? (I have Blue Cross Blue Shield if that makes a difference?)
Also together my husband & I make about 52,000 a year – I make 30,000 of it so I’m affraid that I will have to go straight to work afterwards, which really isn’t how I want to raise my child. I **** the thought of day care that soon. Would we qualify for any assistance so that I can stay home? We reside in Florida
Thank you in advance to anyone that can help!
The company is large — I work for the US Department of Veterans Affairs so I’m federal, my husband is a fence installer for a small company. We have considered him staying home instead of me, and also he’s thinking about enlisting in the Air force.
We are renting (650.00 a month) but of course would have to move to a two bedroom, instead of a one bedroom. (which would probably be about 750.00-800.00)
– Also have two car payments which end up being about 700.00 a month (can’t sell because they are both upside down loans…ugggg!
) — also we have barely any debt because I paid about 1500 of the 3000 off last month with tax return and loan from my TSP (or 401K)–
We’re well off for being in our early 20′s.. I will be turning 22 in a few weeks. The reason we are trying so soon is because his father is older and he has no grand children yet plus we are both very responsible and don’t drink do drugs etc. Mostly home bodies and are looking forward to being parents!

When do you stop paying home insurance on a foreclosed home?
Our house was not sold at auction and now reverted to lender? We kept up with the home insurance. When does our obligation end for the home insurance? The realtor we talked to that was assigned to the home said we would be given 14 to 30 days before we had to move out. He would work on the 30 days. Our insurance is due the 25th are we still obligated to pay the insurance past that point or has the lender put their own insurance on the home? Our insurance agent has not returned my call into him.

Ok somone broke in my home and I need to know is my stuff covered under insurance.
Ok somone broke in my home and I need to know is my stuff covered under insurance. Problem is I bought the laptop in my brothers name. Because when I was 17 I didn’t have any credit to purchase it. And my lcd tv is in my name but my mom is a co-signer for it. Does these things has to be in the home insurance owner name to be covered. I called the insurance company she said it takes 48 hours for me to speak to someone in regard to that. So I need to know is this true.

Home insurance?
Do home insurance plans typically cover flooding? I ask because a home that I’m considering buying is only about a block from the shore (in earthquake-prone northern California) and we all learned a few years ago that earthquakes can cause tsunamis, dams/levys can break, etc.
Any other considerations to be had?
Thanks!
