We pay about $6000 a year (!!!! yeah, I know!!) for our insurance and it doesn’t cover contents, lanai or the pool. It’s forced by the mort. co. because we couldn’t find any. We’ve called brokers and no luck. Help!! Pasco County Florida, on 1.25 acres, no mh park.

And my lcd tv is in my name but my mom is a co-signer for it. Does these things has to be in the home insurance owner name to be covered. Last week a neighbor called to say that water was running out her garage door.
She found that an upstairs pipe had burst. The ceilings had fallen and the floors were ruined. The insurance company told her that since no one was living in the home that they would not cover the claim. Is this correct? My cousin has been staying at her mother’s house for about a year.

My hubby and I just bought our 1st home and heard that owning a certain type of breed of dog such as a German shepherd will lower homeowners insurance because its considered a good guard dog that can protect the home.

I’m wondering if they’re any more breeds that we can choose from since we’re looking to add a dogie addition to our family.
