I have had rental insurance and it is time to renew. However, since last year I have moved in with my fiance, who owns our home and has homeowners insurance. We will be married this summer. Do I need to continue my renter’s insurance or will his homeowners coverage be enough for my possessions, too?

Any help would be appreciated. Over the weekend, i had a pipe/hose break and flooded my kitchen overnight. I know we need to make a claim with homeowners insurance. They said they will send out an adjuster to survey damage. What do I tell this adjuster? Do I need to make a list of stuff damaged? Will he help me get the most money i need? Any one with any experience please help Thanks.

I know someone who had a homeowners insurance policy that was cancelled because of a big dog that her friend gave her. Is that allowed?

I have a contract on a home in Mobile, AL that will be rental property. For some reason, I can’t find too many agencies to get homeowners insurance in this area. Any good names, numbers, websites, contacts, ect?

What are some of the things that make people un-eligible for a standard homeowners insurance? I know if you have a dog that falls under a certain category. Anything else?

I just took out a 27,000 home equity loan last month. This is my first mortgage as the house was paid off. I just got a letter from my insurance company saying that my homeowners insurance is going up $70 because of the change. Is this normal?

My wife and I have two kids, and we have been forced to live on a tighter budget for the past 6 months. Allstate just raised our homeowners insurance by $50/month and that is more than we can afford right now. Is there a law that require we have homeowners insurance? Does our mortgage company require it?

If you get homeowners insurance that should cover many things. Whereas fire insurance only covers that one thing.
